Open Enrollment

Open-Enrollment Period
The Boulder Valley School District’s open-enrollment period begins in late November and continues through mid January. Families interested in attending Horizons must turn in their applications during this period to the Open Enrollment office in the Education Center at 63rd and Arapahoe. This is also true for the applications for siblings of current Horizons students and children of Horizons employees, who receive priority placement, if space is available. Applications are located at Horizons as well as the Education Center and all other Boulder public schools.

Open Enrollment Meetings
Horizons will be having three informational, Open Enrollment meetings.

Thursday, Nov 29 8-10 AM
Wed, Dec 12 6:30-8 PM
Thursday, Jan 10 8 – 10 AM

At these meetings we will discuss the history and philosophy of the Horizons program, why we are a charter, our unique approach to curriculum, and we will distribute materials about the school and about the Open Enrollment process, including applications. Prospective middle schoolers may attend but we cannot accommodate younger children.
